I'm on day 2 as well mate! Let's do it together. I prefer to not think about day 3 for now.

I've had the court ordered AA meetings in 2012 when I got my 3rd dui. Am contemplating going back. Long time reader of this site just recently registered. My drinking has evolved to only 3-4 times a month but a complete Bender every time. Can't stop once I start.

AA sounds good if you're open to that

I also recommend checking out the Class of June support thread BigBear - lot of support there too. It's for everyone quitting this month and all you have to do to join is post

You have potentially hundreds of friends here. Feel free to post daily, as often as you need to, for support, feedback and company. Post your cravings, update us, whatever.

I post a lot and its whats kept me sober for the past 20 days. That and a few other tools and use of one other site for support.

We are rooting for you, and with you <3

Welcome to SR, BigBear, and congrats on choosing a better way of life in recovery. Stick around, post often. One cool thing about this place is there is someone here to talk to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I second Dee's suggestion to join in the Class of June 2017 thread on this same forum. The class threads have made all the difference in my own recovery.

Welcome to SR BigBear. The first few days of sobriety are tough but if you want this more than anything else, you will find your way through the withdrawal period.

Stay close to SR, eat, hydrate, rest do anything but give in to a drink. You can do this!

As others have said come on and join us In the June Class thread. It's a great place for support and a great way to hold yourself accountable. It has helped me add to my support channels and I am grateful for it. Good luck brother. We can do this and we deserve this.
