Overwhelmed
Trying to read these threads and identifying with others is a bit of relief but also overwhelming. Started going to AA meetings this month but still struggling. I feel like I'm letting everyone down, including myself.
Welcome to SR! These forums can be a bit overwhelming but are also a great place to get support and help others who are newly sober. I highly suggest joining the Class of June 2017 thread found on this same forum. Good way to get to know others here.
Welcome Hello. It's so good to have you with us.
I think most of us feel overwhelmed when we first make the decision to quit. Drinking has been a way of life for so long. It's scary to let go - but also to continue on the way we were. When you get some sober time behind you, things will begin to make more sense and the anxiety should lessen.

I'm not sure how helpful reading the F&F forum will be to you right now; it sounds like you're a little fragile and down on yourself atm and beating yourself up about the impact on significant others is unlikely to be serving you. Looking ahead at your goals and dreams for a sober future may be more helpful to start with 💜
Wishing you well on your recovery journey x
