Not sure if it's a talent, or not, but I speak Italian. I lived over there for a number of years when I was in my 20's and met my husband, also Italian.

I also have an eye for fashion/design, even though I hate shopping for clothes. I can put together a mean outfit.

I had an art scholarship to a prestigious local college once upon a blue moon ago. I flunked out my first year (I wanted to learn languages instead of do art and focused my time elsewhere - it worked out for me in the end as I dropped out of school and flew myself over to Italy.)

"I'm playing with an art journal presently. It's so fun. But, I really suck..."

As long as you are having fun with it, that is all that matters, Inchworm!

And, I bet you don't suck

Like any skill artistic or otherwise, practice makes improvements! So get busy practicing. I really want to spend some time practicing mixing watercolor colors to get a wider feel for blending and strengthening washes. What is your next step in developing your art or skill. Unicycle....that would be a miracle in my world to not need an ER trip. Nice job everyone!

I love expressing my creative side in my outfits. It didn't occur to me to think of it like that until my best friend gave me a compliment saying as much.

Now, if my outfits get a little out there, I think I am being creative

I like to draw but definitely need to get in the habit to practice....if I were to do that as much as I was devoted to my drinking habit, I would be awesome! A year ago I began taking drum lessons. It's like a bucket list item ~ something I've always wanted to learn, I get to jam along to my favorite music, and it's therapeutic!

I am a famous singer in the aisles of the place I work in. I was once in a band playing guitar and bass. Mainly vocals. Lots of vocals. I am also a Rock Star at home.

I started painting when I was devastated emotionally.

I have many many writings that will never see the light of day.

I pulled out a wooden box this morning that I am going to paint on this afternoon. Its on the couch now waiting for its masterpiece........(side note: I am not devastated. I just want to get in touch with the creative side of myself. Today= No house painting, drilling or rehabing. Today= fun! )

And then I saw this tread. How serendipitous.

I also have a passion for scrapbooking and card making.

I love pictures and scrapbooking is a way for me to express my creativity and relive wonderful memories (or spend time with loved ones already passed ) at the same time.

I love scrapbooking too. I want to make something beautiful and tell a story.

I also love to knit. Both are great for sobriety because they occupy your hands! Good thing I never drank with a straw.

It's a music weekend!! I play tomorrow and I provide a bunch of harmonies. But I have been working on 6 string rhythm instead of bass. I'm enjoying finding different tones and colors in the music.

My creative outlet is food/cooking

I took inspiration from the cuisines and spices of North Africa, especially Tunsia, but also with a nod to the Middle East. However obviously I also took a lot of liberties as well so, at any rate:

cinnamon chile oil marinated tofu, sauteed; with a roasted red bell pepper and harissa sauce seasoned with toasted coriander and caraway

ver jus braised red cabbage seasoned with nigella

chickpea patties seasoned with toasted cumin, cilantro, mint, and ginger, sauteed; with an edamame hummus
