Migraine anyone?

So it's now day six sober for me and some fabulous migraines. No other symptoms, but migraines. Anyone know why?

Hi sober sue! First of all, congratulations on day 6! Migraines could be due to a lot of things, which is why you should go to a doctor and explain all your symptoms and history. It could be vitamin deficiency, which is easily fixed :-) so many things happen in early sobriety, it's best we have help getting everything worked out. You're well on your way :-) so happy for you!

Are you well hydrated? Do you normally get migraines? As VN said, it is best to see your Dr, especially if it's not the norm for you.

When I had 11 days sobriety I got headaches/migraine in the early days but I do think I needed more fluids. This time around I'm on day 7 and feeling really good, but day 3-5 were pretty bad, including a terrible migraine.

This is just my experience, always best to see your GP if you're concerned.

Well done on 6 days

Most of my migraines are due to stress. Maybe that's it? Have you talked to your dr?

I'm not stressed though. At all. Life is pretty good

I had headaches fairly consistently for the first month, I think. Not migraines, but just a constant, dull ache. It was very annoying. They went away. But see your doc to rule out anything else.

Yes. Small to serious headaches for the first few months. Not constantly, but fairly regularly. I'd wake up one or two mornings a week with a killer headache. Ibuprofen generally kept them manageable, and they gradually passed.
