clean & sober
Hey guys. Just want to tell everyone a little story of hope in recovery. April of 2016 I went to treatment. I got hooked up with AAC and they flew me to Texas, a facility outside of Dallas. I spent about 6 weeks there. The program I went through was great. I made good solid connections that have withstood the passing of time. I am still clean/sober today. My issue is alcohol. I say is because it never goes away. I know this now, and I am at peace with that. I was self - medicating to cover feelings I wasn't equipped to cope with. I have made great strides in recovery and I have a great future to look forward to. One that is drug/alcohol free. By the grace of God, I will never go down that road again. I know if I do, I wont come back this time. Anyone wants to chat, Im around at least once a day. |
