Hi. New here. Here because my family has suffered so much through alcoholism and drug addiction, myself included. I need to begin to change it somehow. It's late, but maybe not too late for someone.
I've read a lot here before joining, and found many interesting articles and posts. I hope that all our experiences can help in some small way-and we can perhaps help one another. Thank you

Hi Pat, nice to meet you. I'm an alcoholic and am having possibly the worst day I've had since I stopped drinking 7 months ago. But I'm not drinking. I don't even want to drink. That tells me everything I need to know about the support and strength I've got from this site. Not drinking when everything is going well is one thing. But not drinking when everything is going wrong shows me how far I've come. It's never too late. Welcome :)
