Day 31 and I've just realized something

It's say 31 and it just occurred to me that I am not obsessing over alcohol. I didn't even think of not drinking today. It just happened. I didn't have that nasty little evil voice telling me I deserve a drink. There was nothing. I just went about my business today and gave it no thought and it's 10:54 p.m.!!! Thank God this is happening!!!! I believe I can do this!!! I dreamed of a day I didn't have to fight that evil being!!! I'm still tired all the time and my liver still aches, but my thoughts are free!!!

Congratulations! Keep it going - eventually drinking will become a a distant memory. The desire to drink will simply go away. Such freedom!

It is a great feeling to loose the desire to drink. However, just a cautionary note, be prepared because your AV will try to convince you to drink again in the not too near distant future. Just don't listen to the idiot!
