Checking in - 82 days sober and free
Back on my 82nd sober day. I've put my all into recovery since I last posted. Started with a scary trip to the Emergency room and a week away from my kids to detox and get a solid recovery plan in place. Continues with intensive outpatient treatment, aa meetings, therapy, being honest with my family and doctors. It hasn't been easy but it is so worth it. The guilt, shame, self hatred and constant anxiety is giving way to self acceptance and discovery, peace, gratitude, amends and hope for the future.
