Day 6

Wow I can't believe it's day 6. Last night was big it's like my Friday as I don't work on Friday anymore. Normally would be my night to kick back more than usual as I didn't have to get up at 6 for work. But No I didn't. This morning I woke up and said to myself "wow this is what if feels like to feel great on your day off. Went to the gym, cleaned the house going to the store taking my grandson for his swimming lesson later. All good good things. I think I'm improving in my thinking. Don't feel as sad and depressed. Starting to like myself just a little more. So today is the real Friday so it's day 6 and I think I can do this.... at least for today.
Thanks to all.... have a great day SR friends.

Your post is positive, and it's so good to see you finding benefits of sobriety already.

jack,

I quit years ago for 8 months. It was so easy that I decided to start drinking again.

That was a gigantic mistake.

Glad you are feeling great already.

On my last and final quit, at 6 days I was still detoxing.

I didn't start to feel routinely solid until around 2 years or so.

Beware the AV lurks.

Thanks.
