Almost threw it all away...
Today was a morning from hell...
1. Middle schooler missed the bus
2. Other middle schooler got hair completely tangled in a comb and refused to go to school....knot requires a hair cut
3. Back brakes grinding on my car and had to cancel appointment to get them fixed.
4. Fraudulent activity on my checking account, causing me to have to cancel and get a new one.
5. Due to 4...have no money and no way to access my account.
I was so tempted to buy a pack of cigs and grab a bottle of rum for today! But then I asked myself, how would I have handled all these problems if I were hungover. Probably wouldn't have...probably would have called off for work as well.
Glad to be sober and appreciate, even the BAD days!!

Do not we all have crap thinking? Reread your point 5- then your very next sentence. You have no money- so wanted to spend what little money you had.......
Well done on NOT. A bank account or haircut- jeez, hardly the end of the world. I meant that with encouragement.
Support to you.

Even with an overload of stressful problems today, you thought through the consequences. You made the best healthy decision.
Thank you for showing us how to get through multiple, stressful problems without resorting to booze and smokes.
Those middle school kids and their hair. Years back ended up letting one of mine stay home once. Wasn't something we practiced, but was needed at the time.
Hope the rest of your day is less stressful. Tomorrow should be better. So glad you didn't throw away your sobriety.

I'm really glad you stayed strong CoffeeInstead
I think we all have bad days - the difference is now they're just bad days, not bad weeks, months or even years.
Hope tomorrow will be a better one
