I made 4 weeks !!!!!
Firstly as the title says I made it 4 weeks. Not one drop of alcohol. I'm so proud of myself.
Secondly thanks to everyone here who has helped me, either by posting directly or by posting their story - it's all helped. I'm not a prolific poster but I am a lurker here.
Thirdly I think I had a glimpse today of proper clarity and it felt good. I've been waiting for some eureka moment that hasn't really come, but today I had a glimpse of how good it feels to be clear of head. Truly clear & in the moment, there was just a sensation of stuff slotting into place. It was ace.
Finally, two sayings that have stuck with me from people here that have helped me this last month (sorry can't attribute them to the correct peeps)
1) nothing changes if nothing changes
2) it really is just a case of - one day at a time
So to all you folks on SR
couldn't have done it without you.

Congratulations on a month sober Merz! Thanks for sharing what you have learned as well, we all benefit from hearing what is working for others. Very glad to hear that you are seeing improvements in your life.

Aw thanks everyone, I am chuffed today and feel good about it.
Creative, I'm not struggling today but have done in previous days and will do in future ones, but just focusing on today really helps. Wishing your DH & you lots of luck :-)
