I surrender

I have finally realised I can not do this on my own. I've lost everything but still can't ditch the bottle.

So, Wednesday I'm going in to rehab. Tomorrow I need to sort out clothes and clean room. Tuesday, when businesses are back I need to do things like change address on bank account. Tuesday evening I'm having a meal and going to the movies with my son.

Wednesday I will leave the car at my parents plus anything I'm not taking and then will get the train to the town where the rehab is. It's only an hour away from my parents and my son so I will be able to see them.

Great that you have come to admit your problem and are getting help, and it sounds like you have loving and supportive people around you to help. Best of luck, i am sure you can do it!

Brave, courageous. Positive, make the most of the gifts they offer. I did not- but eventually did, many years later. Support to you.

Surrendering to the fact that alcohol has no place in your life anymore will help you going forward. When we are fighting and engaged in the battle, it makes it so much harder.

Good for you. I went to rehab almost 5 years ago now, and I'm still sober today. This commitment is a big one and you're showing that you're ready! Don't worry if every moment doesn't seem so magical when you're there. It's all about building a sober foundation. Stay strong and congrats on doing the right thing.
