Good morning
Hey everyone,
I want to stop this madness and that starts with committing to being sober today.
I've got a busy day of work ahead I will be working from home today which means I can really focus on taking water on board through the day
Perhaps it would help me to help others on the site by posting and encouraging?
It's been pretty much one way traffic with me seeking all of the help and not offering any in return.
Thanks everyone

For me posting is also about commitment to sobriety.
It seems silly to be committed to a forum board, but I am.
I am committed to my wife, son, coworkers, parents, siblings etc as well.
They all know I quit drinking, they all know that if I ever start again.....it is a relapse.
I have always been a responsible person. At 22 years old I was a Nuclear Missile Control Site Entry Controller.
I am a responsible dude.
So, now that I am physically clean, I hold myself accountable to never drink again. It is all mental. I remember booze wrecks me. It is poison.
I am never going to put a key in a light socket again either. I will never cross the street w out looking either.
Basically, I know what is right and wrong now.
I can do the right thing.
Thanks.

Yes definitely soberwolf thanks. I'm going to go back to basics to start with
To handle cravings I'm going to distract myself- go for a walk, play guitar, do some coursework.
I'm going to plan my evening and weekends in advance to avoid loneliness
