Nose bleed

Day 2 today. Anyone get a nose bleed during detox? I googled it and apparently is a symptom of cirrhosis. I'm going to add "no google" to my plan...

I think staying away from Dr Google is a good idea.

I never had a nosebleed.
If it's really worrying you, see your own Dr SN?

Dee is right. Don't google! It could simply be just a nose bleed. Definitely see your doctor and at least that way there won't be any guessing for every ache and ailment. And hopefully it'll put your mind at ease so you can focus solely on not drinking.

And about 6,000 other things, including dry air.

I was always really good at taking any piece of information available and making it fit the narrative in my head. Most of the time the narrative was "I should have a drink". Everything I experienced reinforced that narrative:
Something good happened - I should celebrate.
Something bad happened - I should comfort myself.
Someone made me angry - I need a belt to calm down.
Etc.

If the narrative in your head is that you've damaged your liver by drinking you should get that checked out by a qualified physician. Put it to rest one way or the other so you can move on.

Congrats on day 2!

Best of Luck on Your Journey!

Great job on day 2 - remember to hold your head back & pinch your nose - it helps to stop it x

Maybe the weather patterns are causing the nose bleed?

If it only happened once or so and isn't massive it's probably nothing.
I had a massive nosebleed with alcoholic hepatitis. Alcohol messes everything up!

How's your water intake? I drink 2 liters of water a day. If I happen to skip a day (usually on the weekends), I tend to get nosebleeds.

Congratulations on day 2 SoberNunn, I understand your concern but I believe Dr Google says there are other symptoms that would have to accompany with the nose bleed.

Definitely check with a real doctor if you are worried.

Good luck with your recovery.

It was so embarrassing. I was at a busy indoor playground with my 4 year old. He didn't want to leave so I had to chase him around and grab him with a bloody piece of toilet paper hanging out my nose!! It didn't last long but if they continue or get worse I will ask doc. My doc knows I suffer from health anxiety so can be quite dismissive of my concerns.
