my LAST one swig of Heaven Hell Vodka
Congratulations on your discovery. I couldn't get help until I came to the realization I was powerless over alcohol. Once I truly believed it I haven't drank since. I put the time and effort into my recovery that I had been putting into my drinking.
Now put the plug in the jug, choose a recovery program, make a plan and learn to live sober. You won't regret it. You'll be happier than you can imagine.

You and my readers know I can't quit.
If being an alcoholic stopped me quitting I (and everyone else here) would be drunk right now.
There's no real difference between you and me, not essentially.
It's like my scooter - it's got a lock on it to stop me going over a certain speed,
That was me as a drinker, locked in by my own self fulfilling prophecy that I couldn't quit.
Many years later, I had to quit...I gave it all my effort, no stone unturned no change too great...and the limits were off.
From all day everyday drinker to ten years sober.
Don't pay lip service to quitting.
Really - there is no try, only do.
Great waves come from little ripples - even something as small as logging here before you drink rather than after and asking for support could make a massive difference....but you'll never know until you try.

I too am an alcoholic. That's *why* I quit.
Make it a reason TO quit, not a reason to keep on.
You can do it you can do it you can do it.
You most definitely can do it.

I unfortunately did not quit until I had a catastrophic loss of everything.
Do yourself a favor and index the things that you love the most. Now imagine yourself without those things. Realize if you keep drinking you will eventually lose them.
You can stop.

Actually, you aren't a special snowflake. Which, in this sense, means that you CAN quit, just like any other alcoholic.
We're here, there are lots of programs around, and a new life IS possible. Hope to see you around here.

I want to thank you all for you honesty and confidence in me.
I know I am weak and do not know nothing really.
If I could go back in time I would warn those who have passed how they are going to die, anyone with a little humanity would think this some time in their miserable lives. I am not negative or hateful . Just want a solution of a problem that bothers me some days. Why cant I be alcohol free like everyone else in the world, do not really understand myself.
Cheers.

I still haven't figured myself out either, Deckard. But I did figure out that the drinking me was reckless and self-destructive. I couldn't get anywhere or cope with anything as long as I was numb & foggy. Kick it out of your life - you don't need it the way you think you do.
We're all in the same boat and I tell you, you can do it! Please don't give up on yourself. There's so much support here. I beg you to stay and keep working on quitting. Take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time.
Being an alcoholic is the reason to quit. The perfect reason, a great reason.....we are here and many many of us have quit and we are no better or more special than you, it is not easy but it is worth it...

The point of that phrase / label is to serve you, not to act as an excuse to hurt yourself.
If it helps any, always remember that alcohol is an addictive substance (I hid a sneaky link there). It's not just you.
