What's the worst that can happen?
Was just thinking of all the stupid things I've done while out of my head on booze , for me I went out partying with my husband and friends, of course I could never get enough, making my way out the back door to the garage for another tin of cider I had out there, I tripped on the step fractured my arm in two places, didnt know that at the time as I was so drunk I went to bed only to be woke with the worst pain ever. Arm cast for 14 weeks, followed by two operations, but did that stop me,,no. I carried on because, booze wouldn't catch me. Well the joke was on me, I'm now back on day five, and I'm still counting the hours xx

Woke up before it was too late.
And well done on day 5 keep strong.

Great job on five days- keep going!
For me, the worst that could happen was death. I finally chose to live, with all its uncertainty in the future. Best decision ever.
And I don't have breaks, bruises, sickness, any of the torment and pain I "happened into" when drinking!
Keep going.

Congrats on day 5. I had a friend break his shoulder, fall in the river face down, end up in multiple comas. That didn't stop him. He finally did go to rehab but sadly died just a couple years later from all of the abuse he put his body through. It's been two weeks and I still can't believe he's gone.
Great job on reaching 5 days, Lastchance. Your life will be so much better.
Sometimes I reflect on all the reckless things I did, especially towards the end of my drinking career. It's chilling - I'm lucky to still be here. Never again.

Congrats on day 5. Fell flat on my face once. Pretty sure I broke my nose as I had two black eyes the next day. The worse part was lying to my then 7 year old son telling him the blood was koolaid. Insanity!
