Been sober all week....

And looking forward to a sober weekend ahead! Usually towards the middle of the week, I start fantasizing about drinking on the weekend. Nope, not this week! I'm actually embracing the idea of being sober the whole weekend! I'm feeling strong and I'm following up with my doctor today as well. Hope everyone here is doing good!

That's excellent bronzie, you deserve to feel better.

Good luck with the doctor.

Glad you're in a good place to start the weekend off. Keep working to keep those triggers at bay and enjoy your time off.

That's where I went to college too! It's a great school in downtown pdx. I graduated in '09. I miss those fun college days and all the campus events, but I don't miss all the excessive drinking I did back then. I live back out in the country now, but I liked living in the city during college.

Thanks everyone. I'm back home from my doctor appt and I also met with my counselor afterwards. Now I have to get ready to be at work in an hour. They have a counselor there on site at the medical clinic who I've been talking to for the last couple weeks. That went well, the medication is helping, and above everything else I have to do the work....posting here, working in my recovery book, sticking to my plan, staying busy, changing my mentality, and just holding myself accountable. I'm doing this!

Fantastic, Bronzie! How great you're nipping this in the bud earlier than many of us! Have a wonderful weekend. I'm heading into my 7th alcohol free weekend, myself, and it gets much easier. Keep it up... you can do it!
