Sobernunn accountability thread
Day 1 again. I'm starting this thread as a place for me to post and keep myself accountable. The Easter holidays are going to be hard for me. Thanks everyone for your ongoing support.
Congrats on day 1 and yes you can this. Everyone here is ready to help you.
Berrybean has bee posting Dee's "you need a plan" thread. Do you have a plan of attack for this weekend coming up?

SN- hello. Remember HALTS. Easter is going to be an alone, sadness, family not wanting me 9for 2 years now0 one. I will be doing meetings- even tho I do not want to. I will be remembering HALTS- even thogu it is B/S (at the time), I will be journaling- even though it brings no instant relief. I will be posting here- pissing and moaning about how much harder MY life is compared to everyone else's and just like now- by the end of the post, I begin to feel just a little better.
Empathy, compassion and support to you. KEEP POSTING.

SN it will be hard/sad for me too. My son leaves today until Tuesday with his Dad. Easter means nothing to me without him. Even though he is 15. I'm going to try to keep as busy as I can and avoid temptations and resist the urges. I'll follow your accountability thread. I should start my own sometime. Good idea.

Good day = drink to celebrate
Bad day = drink to commiserate
Boring day = drink to liven life up
Holidays = drink because you deserve it
Etc...
You know that right?

yes of course, it's just of all the "holidays" from my own life experience, Easter was never really one of those that had lots of drinking involved. St Patty's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day.....sure. It was really said more tongue in cheek................
actually, ironically, i first sobered up on Easter Sunday, 4-19-87. so there you go!
