6 Months Sober Today! 6 months ago I wouldn't have been able to comprehend being sober for 6 months. Well I did it. There were days when I wondered if I could keep it up at first, but I stuck with it and my life has gotten so much better since Oct 12. I want to thank SR and the members here for your posts and advice given we I needed it. I found this place about 2 months sober and I was struggling. I thought I would never get better, but when I read members experiences and advice I learned that I wasn't alone. That help kept me going on this path, and I can not explain in words how much that helped. I can also not say thank you enough! While the road wasn't always smooth and will not always be in the future, I know that my life now sober is better then it would/could have ever have been in the state I was in 6 short months ago. If I could reiterate any advice that I received on here that really helped was. 1. If you walk 5 miles into the woods you have to walk 5 miles out. 2. Exercise and meditation will help with anxiety and recovery. These two truths really got me over the hump. |
