Day 13 a new dawn
day 13
as i said in yesterdays thread
day 12 was full of craving so i went to bed early just to speed up the day
in a way it work , it must have been the stress of the craving my mind doing overtime all day but i found myself very tired after the short day , anyway i went to sleep virtually straight away
guess what happened next , another first on my sober journey
i had the most vivid dreams , totally mad stuff involving being drunk of course , drink driving also included , which is something i would never do even at my worst
funny thing is i awoke this morning full of dread and guilt , thinking i made a fool of myself again
it took me a couple of seconds to realize , NO i am sober i didn't drink or make a idiot of myself .
A wonderful feeling I can tell you
thanks to this forum none of these things have taken me by surprise because other members have spoken about them in numerous threads .
SR is coming through for me on so many levels

Congratulations on day 13 jack.
I know exactly how you feel about those dreams. I very occasionally get them even after 2 years plus sober and found them disturbing for several hours after I had woken. As I said, they are very rare now so they wont be a constant feature.

I am a little strange I guess but I LOVED the dreams. I still get a night every now and then. I consider it a bonus. Like visiting the Salvador Dali museum in my sleep. I HATED the night sweats and the insomnia of the first two weeks, That was just gross.
Congratulations the withdrawal part is over. Now's the time to make a plan and get busy gettin' busy.
Body - Add some exercise, good diet.
Mind - It needs feeding too.
Spirit - Seek and Ye' shall find
