9 Months without a Drop!
Every month that goes by is a record for me. After a brief (26 days in 2015) shot at stopping to drink I have finally gained some ground. Life is good when I stop To think about it. Sometimes it doesn't feel so good but what a journey this is! Oh my gosh, discovering Lindsey for the first time ever!! Some parts I do not like but I know if I stay this course and close to my higher power I will continue to see change. When the fear kicks in that holy **** I'm still doing this, can I succeed? I stop and breath and say ok... just for today. I do go to AA and although I'm not the poster child for it I'm very grateful to be around people like me and to hear it is possible. I also love getting on here and reading and sometimes responding! I hope everyone hangs in there literally just for today!

Congratulations! 9 Months is so awesome!! It is scary but super exciting to discover yourself!! Enjoy it, enjoy every happy, ugly, heartbreaking, disappointing, fun, long and fast minute of it!! And remember, everything passes. We have only a daily reprieve and need to continue the work if we want to continue recovery!
