Well it's late (ish) in the evening & I haven't had a beer so that's a success for me. I'm unlikely too now as well. I've passed a test tonight.

Still carrying a lot of shame from the black out drunk night that led me here, still bruised & bruising physically & mentally.

In a way its probably helpful though because already I can hear a little voice in my head saying just one beer won't hurt. I know that once I do that though nothing will change & I will be drinking daily & nights out will end up like last Saturday.

Ive not said out loud to my OH I'm not drinking, he's not speaking to me still (fair enough) I earned it.

I've been in touch with a councillor who I found when I 1st found this site, so she has space to see me. Hopefully this week will provide me many milestones to be proud of.

My last drink was in a black out and I woke up with scrapes on my legs. That was 9 months ago. You can do it. You know if you drink that will not be the last time that happens!

Congrats on day 1. I've had many day 1's and if we stay strong and surround ourselves with positive people who are in recovery, we will never have to have another day 1. Keep up the good work!!
