Weird observation
 

Today I have the most horrible cold complete with sore throat, fever, body aches, and chills. It is hitting me harder than usual because I can feel things again, I'm not numb from alcohol. While I don't care for the pain, I appreciate that I can feel things again.

Yeah, I can relate. I used to continue to drink when I was sick and it would numb the pain or so I thought. In reality you have a sick drunk with a hangover. Just don't start downing the heavy, multi-symptom cold medicine like I was doing...all with a vodka chaser. God, it's good to be sober!
