10 days without a drink
Congrats on 14 days. It can take a while to level back out. I know for me personally it took about 2 years. Don't let that discourage you. Making the choice to get sober will be well worth it in the long run. It all depends on how much your brain chemistry changed while using. Keep your head up, and keep pushing forward. Oh and on the meds you take for your anxiety, stay away from Benzo's. Things that are fast acting like Xanax an ativan can prolong your recovery because they do they same thing to the central nervous system that alcohol does.

Day 25 and I'm definitely feeling a lot better! Anxiety still comes and goes, but overall I really feel like I am on an upward trajectory. Thank you all for your kind words, they have kept me hanging in there
I had one overnight about six nights ago. It was really weird (I think it was a panic attack?) I was kind of in 'flight mode' when I woke up. It lasted about three to four hours and then was gone.
Hang in there. It will pass.
Tony.
