Can someone call me

I don't want to go anywhere, but I've been drinking and I'm liable to do whatever. Please be on my side.

HI needsomedirection

I'm sorry you're struggling.

We actually advise against personal calls unless the two parties know one another - that's for your safety and everyone else's.

You can post here - I did a lot of that in my early days, or use the chat room, or PM (private message) me or anyone else if you want it private?

D

What's going on, needsomedirecti?

We're here to support you on the forums.

Do you need a hotline number?

We discourage members from sharing personal information, such as phone numbers.

Are you safe?

needsomedirection,
in addition to always someone being around here on SR, you can phone a telephone crisis line if you want to talk in person. it's what they're for....folks who are struggling with something and just want a listening ear or some info....and also, most bigger cities have AA offices, where often there are phone volunteers for just these calls. you do not need to want to join or any such thing.

Thank you everyone. I ended up calling a friend who I haven't spoken to in a while and her and her husband talked to me for as long as I needed.
