Hello everyone,

I've been reading on the forums for awhile now and decided to join in. I've been sober now for a little over 30 days after 12 years of denying I have a drinking problem. This forum has been a big help so far with the information and recovery stories everyone has shared, I'm looking forward to being more involved.

Welcome Buck27, I too watched quietly from the poolside before dipping my toe in the serene waters of SR. I was made to feel so welcome by everyone. I am now fully submerged in the buoyant SR waters. I hope you find this place to be as benificial as I have. Good luck.

Congrats on Day 30, I found this forum on my Day 16 and it has really helped me to stay focused on not drinking. I hope it does the same for you.

Thank you everyone for the welcome and support. It wasn't easy getting to this point, but every day is clearer and I feel better. I'm doing this on my own and that can be difficult, I come from a family of heavy drinkers who can be supportive but also think I'm over exaggerating my problem.
