Nearly through day one. I haven't seen my ex for a few days so I think that's helping. Today wasn't easy but I have gotten through it. Too sick to really do much.

Good job sweeti - did you go to the meeting?

Nonsensical 03-29-2017 05:35 AM

Today will be different because YOU can make it different.

Make a plan.
Work the plan.
You can do this. :ring

Stay with us here on SR...it does help...

I'm going well today. No real cravings. I don't think I could go through another detox and make it back again. Yesterday was tough feeling like shift all day. I have more energy. I wanted to go to a meeting but there is torrential rain here and flooded roads. Hopefully tomorrow it will clear up a bit.

Susiegirl 03-29-2017 11:11 PM

Hi Sweetichick!! Welcome. I have only been here for a short time but I'm on day 11 and it has been surprisingly easy. You will get the odd craving but keep yourself busy and you will beat it. I am surprised how many hours there are in the day compared to when I was just sitting down in the evenings drinking my wine.
I am tired when I wake up initially but then when I'm actually up I feel great and the biggest thing is no knot in my stomach from feeling guilty from drinking the night before.
Good luck hun xxx

Great Job sweetichick!!! I am praying for you. I know you can do this.

sweetichick 03-30-2017 12:38 PM

Day 3 already and starting to feel more energetic. To me the choice is simple. Give up now and not die. Keep going and go through a long painful death. I've finally accepted that I can't control it once I start drinking. Or not for long anyhow.

Scruffanie 03-30-2017 01:00 PM

Hi Sweetichick,

Great work! Glad you are feeling some benefits already :)

Keep it up. You are doing well.

Hevyn 03-30-2017 03:03 PM

You sound so good, Sweeti - that's great. :)

sweetichick 03-31-2017 12:34 AM

My ex gave me an ultimatum. If I drink again he is pretending I don't exist or walking away. He won't help me out by lending money again. Never seen him so upset. He sees how sick I am. He's also taken my car keys just to make sure. A bit upset over it all. He lent me money for smokes and food.

Dee74 03-31-2017 12:53 AM

You're really sending major mixed messages to this guy Sweetichick.

I really think you're better off looking for help elsewhere.

Everytime you let this guy in again you risk the same old cycle happening?
