What can we do to help Stewy? Have you spoken with your therapist lately? You need to get a grip before it's too late.

Things feel like a mess because you aren't thinking clearly. Call a sober friend and try to get some perspective. Relapse happens but it doesn't have to again.

Stewy posting here after you drink is not really doing you much good.
Try posting before you drink - let us talk you out it.

Stewy, things are devolving to the point of getting serious. You might be a mess right now, but not a waste of life, that is silly talk. I understand a relationship went south but that is a not a legit reason for you to do what your doing. As Scott said, how can we help?

Say no to the blow my friend. That is a horrible idea. I used to have a problem with the candy as well but it has been years. You can talk to me any time man. Message me.

Keep talking to us, Stewy.

Don't get the coke. That is a very bad idea. Trust us - not the alcohol, not the coke.

Pour out any booze. Do not drink any more. Hydrate- water, not coffee. Eat something. See a doctor about your health. Find out about detox- rehab. See about a counsellor. Keep posting.

Coming here first before you drink again is a great first step Stewy, glad you didn't get any coke. As far as what to do next, you were sober for 2 plus years, right? Some things I can think of:

Get rid of any alcohol in the house and don't buy any more.

Call a sober friend or head to an AA meeting or spend time here on SR. Or utilize any other support network you have access to.

Call your therapist or doctor and let them know what's happened.

After that you can look at what went wrong leading up to this drinking episode, but first things first. It's your choice as to what happens next.

Make the decision and stick to it. Don't drink today. Do the same thing tomorrow. And again. And so on.

Make a plan. What will you do when the urge strikes? Look at the plan, and do something on the plan before you drink. Posting here before you drink as others have noted is a good start.

All things to do, agreed. And don't get MORE booze or any coke. Is there anyone you can call to be with you at least today, so you won't use? I see you posted pretty early this morning- as the day goes on, we've all seen our resolve go away.

AA?

And as others say, stay on here- all day if you need to, and aren't leaving the house- and let people help.

first step is wanting to get sober. you've done that.

now be willing to do whatever you have to do to get AND stay sober- willing to go to ANY lengths.

are you willing to go to ANY lengths?
