I've been abusing alcohol for 5 years now. First beer but since it caused weight gain I completely stopped drinking beer and switched to vodka. I have been drinking 1.75l every 2 days. Imy about 36 hours without a drink. Feeling ok. A little glittery and restless but ok.

Thank you all for your support and kind words. I slept from 8pm easter until now. Officially puts me at 48 hours sober. Seems as the worst of withdrawal was sleeplessness. It also seems as though I've made it through my first Friday night! Happy Friday to you all and thank you!

Hiya, sounds like my situation. Please take care, keep hydrated, eat and sleep. Your only job right now is taking care of yourself. Hugs.

SUNDAY 3am et. The little changes are the most noticeable. Changes to tatste buds, bathroom.patterns, appetite. Haven't drank this much water in years and somehow managed to be so dry. Oh, and tge lower back cramps are no fun, the feeling of my kidneys contracting is an unpleasant one! Now that the weekend has passed without one drink nor the desire for one, I am anxious to find out when I will feel normal again. Or when will my body completely rid itself of the toxins and begin to heal. Random.thoughts.

Harryho 03-28-2017 12:30 PM

How you doing? Thinking of you today. Hugs.
