Day 3

I was twice offered alcohol by neighbors and roommates. There was a party next door. I walked through the city and passed a handful of bars. I didn't give in. I never thought twice about it. I know this is what I need regardless of what I might want. I'm taking it one day, one moment, at a time. I need my life back.

It's very difficult when people offer you alcohol isn't it.
Stay strong though.

I personally decided I don't want to alienate myself from being around people who drink as it'd masively limit who you can talk to.
So willpower

I used to set out to meet people who didn't know about my alcoholism with the goal of drinking. Good friends of mine know I can't drink and won't tolerate it when we go out, even if they're getting drunk right in front of me.

One of the biggest weaknesses of mine is the obsession to drink like a normal person one day. It's hard to meet someone new who wants to grab drinks, and I have to say I don't. It's made things awkward on several occasions for me. But we have to stay strong! I made a lot of terrible first impressions due to overdoing it. I try to remember that when I feel tempted...

Mhc,

Each step we take away from booze makes our resolve stronger.

Sobriety is amazing. The confidence it has given me is a gift.

Dealing w life as a drunk was so much more difficult.

Well done.

Thanks.
