Fedworker

I'm new to this site, and new to sobriety. I hope this website gives me the networking necessary to continue my sobriety. I'm attending AA meetings, but have yet to find a sponsor. I think I need to find a women's group.

Welcome and congrats! Attending meetings is a great first step, for me they are the only thing I worked. Finding a sponsor is important also, for me that is. When I first got sober I was advised to find someone that had what I wanted (as in I would hear them talk and go "I want that") and then to ask them if they have worked the 12 steps and have had a spiritual awakening as a result of those steps. A sponsor (my sponsor) s a wonderful person to have, they guide you help you with your steps and hope fully will call you on your BS. Congrats again on making the decision
