Off the wagon
hi SN - thats pretty crazy given all the worry you've had about your health.
Maybe it's time to get a little more of a structured recovery plan going?
Are to open to the idea of something like AA - I can't remember?

SoberNunn I do know how you feel. I am on day 4 nearly caved tonight.
At least you have come straight back and posted on here.
It's 22.30 UK so I'm in bed now. Don't know your location but stay strong and have an early night and it will soon be day 2 x

No need to apologise. I did the same when my doctor gave me good news, or at least not bad news.
The thing is the longer we drink the greater the chance we will develop health problems - problems that time won't be able to fix.
The earlier you can quit the better really.
I mentioned AA because its everywhere but no ones going to force you to go to AA.
I think you need to do more than you're doing though - do you have any ideas on doing more could be for you?

Hang in there, SoberNunn. I hear you about not wanting to go to AA. I sure don't want to go to AA or Smart or whatever either, but if SR and my own efforts weren't enough to keep me sober, I'd bite the bullet and give it a run. Those programs really do help a lotta people out.

If there were no wagon, there would be no falling off and climbing back on.
Taking drinking completely off the table as an option is what many have done to remove the wagon, and the cycle or quitting-drinking-quitting-drinking.
Read about AVRT. There are threads here in the secular section, some info on the internet, and a book outlining the technique.
