Blood test results

Hi everyone. After a nervous 24 hour wait I got my blood test results. Liver and kidney function ok but ggt (liver enzyme) was slightly high at 44. However I found out I've got an unusually high platelet count which could indicate something more serious so I'm pretty upset and anxious about that. Not going to drink though.

Hi SN

I don't know what that means but I'm willing to bet it gets better with some sober time :)

You'll be ok :)

Hi SN-

Grats on your sobriety! I was curious how long you waited before going in for bloodwork?

Congrats on taking action and getting a check up. I understand you have some concerns, but drinking can't be an option. I'm confident you'll come out the other side just fine. Keep it going.

Now you're talkin' :c011:

I'm sure if anything was of concern, your doc will get in contact with you.

I know a lot of folks who had elevated liver enzymes and after a few months off the booze, the levels were normal. It is common.
