I've tried several times now to quit and I need to keep trying. My plan today is to avoid the living room after work. Usually I'll just watch TV and drink and before I know it time gets away from me and I've had too much to drink. Today I'm going to make sure I get to bed and get some much needed rest. Day 1

Good luck with your plan of avoiding the living room... may I suggest you add to your plan. For eg, pop onto this site when you get the urge. Or call someone you think will provide you with support.

Changing your routine as you said can be helpful in the early days. Good plan. You might want to check out other plans and ideas we've had:
