First Friday night!

This is already starting to get hard. A mates messages me about going out tonight.

I know I just need to cook some nice food, chill with a movie and bed early.

It's just going to be bloody hard.

Just moaning sorry

I'm out picking my niece up right now from school. Gonna drop her off home then:

Iron
Cook food
Wash up
Hot chocolate and a movie
Then bed.

I think if I can get the first weekend out the way I'll be a lot stronger?!?!

The first few weekends are tough, you just have to be tougher. You can do it.

You can do this! Turn off your phone if you have to. You know it will be just another night, you aren't missing anything.

What keeps me sober is knowing tomorrow I won't be so hungover I can't open the blinds and will be puking most the day, I will be feeling good and get lots done ! Hope you have a nice evening in and you feel great tomorrow

Thanks for the encouragement.

I ended having my neice stay at mine for the first time.

So it was The Little Mermaid and bed early! For both of us!

Day 7! Looking forward to saying I've done a week!

Hi Al
I had my 2nd Friday night last night- the worst internal battle yet.

I have read so much about addiction and can draw on all the knowledge and wisdom I have gained and this chatter between my addict self and true self started in my head about 2pm when I was at work. It built and built until it became a screaming fit between the two around 6pm when I was heading home from work.

It was so stressful. My internal life was causing so me much anxiety. Then I realised the only way to stop the anxiety was to NOT drink. Once I realised that, I felt such a calmness, such relief. There it was. Not easy, but simple.

What are your plans for Sat night? Mine are pizza and a film.

I'm working tonight but then got two days off so going to concentrate on that.

Well done to you for doing two weeks.

It's the habit that is hard to break.

I quit smoking 8 months ago, from 40 a day to non! It's the habit that's the killer
