Hi guys, 2 yrs clean, hope you all r well. I have reckless manslaughter, c non violent felony conviction. There is no self defense law in my. My husband attacked me with a knife and the rest is history. I really want to take my casac and become a counselor. Do you think the conviction will get in the way? I am not nor was ever violent. That is the only thing on my record.

Is there a state board of licensing for this? You could contact them and ask.

Thanks for replying. Haven't had a drink in 2 yrs (3 pints of vodka a day) but I've been craving opiates like crazy. I have a back injury, can get them perscribed so I went on Seboxone instead.........mistake of course, it's so hard to get off of.

Do you have a doctor you work with who prescribed the suboxone?
