I'm so sorry for your loss and his...a life's potential lost to this addiction.
Thank you for posting this. It's too easy to forget sometimes that alcoholism is no trivial condition...people, good people, die from this.

As I've gotten more information I'm just sick. He was over at our house (in California) on Thursday to do some painting and he had a bloody nose that wouldn't stop. To me this is a sure sign something was going on, they found him the next morning at his apartment blood all down the front of himself with foam in mouth. Beer in hand.
The flip side of the coin is that this man suffered, he lived his whole life going "uphill". Grew up in a village in Peru and made his way to Los Angles to earn a living of mostly labor but was gifted when it came to electrical. I find solace in that he is at peace now. No more suffering. RIP Milton.
