day one again
Hi all i havent been here in a while as i have been failing miserably i am once again on day one i am full of flu so i am hoping that the withdrawal symptons may not be as noticable. I have to do it this time or i will end up killing myself. I have even got to the stage where i dont even like the taste of alcohol anymore. Anyway i am just looking for a bit of support.
Hello, glad to see you have come back and reaching out for support.
I had many many failed attempts at sobriety so you are certainly not alone in that respect.
For me personally, I had to force myself to reach out to family, friends, professionals and admit openly that I had a massive problem and needed help. Spent 3 weeks in rehab and now sitting on 103 days clean.
If I can do it, anyone can. Before November last year I couldn't go more than 1 day without drinking to oblivion.... and that 1 day was only because I was soooo ill and hungover.
Anyhoo, I hope you find the strength to stop for good. Lots of tips, support etc here

Hi and welcome back tizzkins - if you have no real idea of how to stay sober I recommend you check in here very day, multiple times a day, post if you need help, or post to others - you needn;t have all th answers - wvnb just a little empathy can help.
Read around, see what people are doing to stay sober... maybe after a few days you'll have an idea of a recovery plan for yourself?

You're ahead of me. I am starting day one tomorrow. I came on SR last year after a miniature rock bottom. I had the therapeutic admission to family and friends and coworkers, but it only lasted 16 days. Since then, my record has been 6. But I have been on this site for the past few days and have read more about the 12 steps, I have customized them for me. I have started a plan. It starts tomorrow and I can't wait.
