Help me

I quit drinking and smoking 6 weeks ago. I felt absolutely amazing and today I went to shop like every day I do and sudently I fell a rush and out of the blue I bought bottle of brandy and cigarettes. I really dont know how did that happen, but it just did. How I'm half of the bottle done, smoked one cigaratte and I am in heavens, but I understand that I am ****** up, that it is straight way to nowhere. I really thought i am over it, i was sleeping like a baby, was breathing like dragon but now i am drunk and thinking to have another cigaratte. I dont want to go back where I was, what is wrong with me, help me

Welcome, cloud3000.

I don't know how many times I have done that! I can quit, but I can STAY quit. I needed a PLAN so that I could reprogram my brain and be free of chemicals!

Look around these forums and find a method of quitting that resonates with you. Then DO IT 110%!!

Glad you are here.

don't let this start a huge slide into the toilet for you.
Restart your sobriety right now.
Throw away the rest of the booze. Go to an AA meeting. Don't drink anymore.

Hi,

I don't believe alcoholism is something that you 'get over'. You can recover, but you will likely need a plan in place to help you get through those moments that come along.

Most of us have had those auto pilot moments - but if you're able to ask for help now, the spell's been broken and I reckon you're able to pour the rest down the sink and throw the smokes away.

Your addictive self may feel it's in 'Heaven' but we both know what a crock that is.

Cloud, I'm so glad you came here to talk it over. I'm sorry you had this frightening set back. You can get it together again - you know how unhappy & unrewarding the drinking/smoking was. There's nothing in it for you anymore. Stay with us - you will be more determined now.
