Realization
My option for recovery is just do it. I've joined a support group that starts this Thursday. This is a 12 step Christian based program that I think will help me in several ways. I will be working the program and giving it 100%. I will be working the program with people who have similar beliefs and issues.
What it comes down to is I am truly powerless when it comes to alcohol. I have to be strong and practice self-control by saying no to the AV. This along with working the 12 step program is my first steps for recovery.
I appreciate the support that you have given. I'm going to try to come to the 9:00 meeting on here tonight. I have plans, but should be home by then.

It is very scary. However the days last week that I was sober I enjoyed waking up and not dragging. I keep trying to figure out how to do this. I realize there is only one way. That is to just do it. Even if I could go to inpatient or outpatient treatment, it is ultimately my decision whether or not I drink. A treatment program, regardless of what it is, will only work if you fully commit to it. This isn't going to be easy, but it will be worth it.

You CAN Do it, rootin for ya
and that is not a casually thrown about remark, I have been in that state of ambivalence , that place of mental and physical hell, a state no one would wish on anyone else, and I genuinely want you to experience the freedom of breaking out of that place. Take the leap of faith to believe that you can do, because you can and I am rooting for you to take that leap and do it.
