Smile I'm new here

Hey, I'm new!!

After three months of being sober I went an relapsed! I have no memory of using though I was out with the guy I was seeing we both we're in recovery and I obviously overdosed and he got scared and left me for dead in my car but thankfully, I'm still alive and here for a reason I'm left with no memory of what really happened that night the only person that knows what really happened is him and he isn't saying a word. I really hope one day I'll remember what really happened.

It just makes me what my sobriety even more now this relapsed scared me and makes me never want to go back down that road again. I'm going to do whatever I need to so I won't have another relapse again. I need to really take my butt to more meetings, find myself another sponsor one that I really do connect and feel comfortable with and start working these steps and being more dedicated to my sobriety as before I was just staying sober but not putting in the work that goes into it.

I really am glad I came across this forum I need all the support I need I have none from my family.

alyn,

In the end i was drinking about 3 to 4 times a month.

I basically got out of drinking practice. The hangovers were hell.

My brain couldn't take the anxiety anymore.

It made me want to quit that much more.

We are not designed to ingest drugs. Stay clean.

Sobriety is amazing. It has gotten better and better so far. 21 months clean.

Stay clean.

Thanks.

Memory wipe and 'left for dead?' Red flag to me. Be careful, stay safe and take NO risks. Especially with cars and driving and THAT guy. I do not leave people for dead. Have you seen a doctor? Gone to meetings? Face to face daily support is so very important.
Prayers.

Check out the informational site at breakupwithalcohol.com - there are are some tips in the How to Start section, and also Exercises you can practice for when you get tempted to drink. Please continue to post on here and reach out - you are not alone and we are all here for you!!
Thank you so much yeah I think the whole I can't remember not sure why I can't obviously I don't wanna remember. I went to the hospital they did an MRI and everything on me and everything came back okay but I think something is wrong I am very forgetful now asking the same question a few times I need to follow up with my doctor the only person that knows what really happened is the guy I was with and he's not saying a word. Def made me realize a lot of things and one thing is I don't wanna use again. I gotta get my butt back into my recovery. Thank you!!
