Hello everyone. Just wanted to thank everyone for their support in my sobriety journey. Never thought I would get this far. On Saturday, I hit one month of sobriety and I am still sober. Just wanted to come up with a catchy title for this thread. I am also on Vicodin, so that is part of it (it was prescribed by a doctor). I have a concussion from walking into a door fixture at a fairly brisk pace. And I actually did it sober!!! Can you believe that??? Went to the ER tonight and was told I have a concussion. Had to miss the superbowl. But the meds are working. Feeling pretty good right now!!! And it is nice not to have to worry about the alcohol/whether or not I can drink/interactions, etc.

If you've gotten this far, congrats. Did not mean to write so much. Anyways, if you have any doors in your house/abode, please watch out for them so you don't end like me, with a concussion. And just wanted to say to everyone else on SR who made it through today without a beer/spirits, you ROCK! Days like today are really tough. Stay sober friends!!!

Hi DT - I'm so sorry you hurt yourself. For some reason, I was rather clutzy in the early days of being sober. Please take good care of yourself, and congrats on your one month+ of sobriety. :)
