Day 7, Sober and Alive
Day 7, Sober and Alive
So today is my 7th day being sober. In the last days I have came close to losing my job, but I am grateful to SR the support I have received. I have been going to multiple AA meetings, Made new friends and tomorrow I will goto one of them to watch the SuperBowl (being sober). As I liked drinking I am going to celebrate it by making fresh fruit/vegetable juice and treat myself to it everyday from now on. Feeling grateful and excited not anxious for my life for what is about to become !!
Finally loving myself, any other ideas?

Congrats on a week
There are some great ideas on recovery plans here:

you'll definitely get some ideas on what you could add to what you've been doing...

Great job on a week! And, what january said. Times ten.
Also, I still think a lot about the social situations I truly want to be in, as well as that are good for my emotional sobriety. Took me a long time (I am at 348 days) - to venture out and I began very protective about whether I was around drinking at all.
Take care of yourself - and like others, I found a program of action (mine is AA) critical to my ongoing success in recovery.
Good luck.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! January and August. August congrats on 348 days of Sobriety.. I think what you said is really critical to the success. We always think of physical sobriety.. but the underlying factor is to ensure emotional sobriety. Thank you again for your guidance and support.
