Went to a brewery with business partner.
He asked if I wanted a beer (we used to drink together after work)...
I said I work better when I'm not drinking. Things were fine. I had a coke.

Good call. And yes, it is almost all "in the mind". What a surprise when we actually realize that pretty much no one cares ( or even notices ) if we are drinking or not. Addiction loves to play those kinds of tricks on us!

Way to go. Many people get extremely stressed out on how they are going to turn down booze. Most people don't really care if you drink or not. And the ones that do care a bit too much probably have an issue of their own they are running from.
I just had my first out of town business trip since I quit. Had a nice dinner out with a colleague, she didn't bat an eye when I just had water while she enjoyed a specialty beer.
