Hello Friends!
This site has helped me so many times, so today I decided to come out of hiding and become part of this wonderful forum.
I am on my 12th day of quitting alcohol. So far, I don't think about it that much. ~Only certain hours in the late afternoon, but I make myself a cup of hot chocolate or have a root-beer.
This is my 2nd time trying to quit. Last year, I got to 6 months sobriety. Then a death in the family sent me back to the drink.
I feel like this time I will succeed! Especially with your help and the comfort knowing others are going through a similar struggle.
I was diagnosed with 1st stage cirrhosis, so I HAVE to quit and will. I am very ashamed that it came to this. I don't tell anyone about it.

Being here helped me so much. I had no one else in my life who really understood what I was going through. I'm sorry for your health concerns. 12 days is wonderful. You can do this.
