100 Days!

Even though I don't post that often, I read here nightly for advice, strength and wisdom. I see so many people with similar stories as mine and going through the same daily struggles as me. SR has been crucial for my success of being sober for 100 days. Now I just need to kick my candy habit (which is weird because I never ate candy prior to getting sober). Ha! But at least its not booze.

I just reread my first few posts here and so much has changed since Oct. 19th. I finished grad school, landed my dream job, etc, but most importantly have become a kickass father to my 1 year old son. This is the happiest I've been in a very long time.

I just want to thank everyone for the encouragement over the past few months. I've never attended an AA meeting, but SR was my version of AA and has helped tremendously. Sorry for the long post. For those of you just getting sober, take it one day at a time. It gets easier. Even at day 100, it tell myself this every day.

That's so wonderful to hear. I love it when people's lives are transformed!

100 days is a long time not to drink, but such a short time to see so many powerful changes & strengths in your life!!

Well, well done...

Congratulations on 100 days.

Your screen name immediately started the song "Low Spark of High Healed Boys" by Traffic running through my head.

The candy cravings are pretty typical of people who quit drinking. It's been many years for me, but I've still got quite the sweet tooth.

That's how I came up with the name. Low Spark is one of my favorite songs. Nice to see another Traffic fan.
