Feeling hungover

I have not had a drink in 10 days but the past two days I have felt a little hung over. I am sleeping well. Any thoughts as to why I would feel this way?

I experienced it and others have as well. Who knows why it happens. Our bodies do a lot of adjusting when we quit.

Totally normal. I felt like crap for at least two weeks after I quit. It goes away. Drink lots of water.

Make sure you are drinking enough water as others started - a lot of the hungover from alcohol feeling is due to being dehydrated.

I have 390 days sober and today I woke up feeling hung over - for me I know it's due to the fact I ate a lot of processed foods last night that had lots of sugar and sodium in them. There is such a thing as a sugar hangover, which I had no idea about.

Your body is still adjusting to this new sober thing and there are a lot of physiological changes happening which is also why you may wake up feeling hungover.

Keep up the good work!

Def. check out alcoholism and hypoglycemia, which can lead to disturbed sleep as one's blood sugar drops and the brain goes into stressed-out survival mode resulting in bad dreams, poor sleep, groggy weak feeling, etc.

Imo...Your body is pushing out toxins for a long time....probably months. Every cell in your being is laced w booze, so it will take awhile.

Stay clean. It gets better. The real you is in there, slowly making its way out.

Im 21 months clean and i woke up feeling bad today. I worked out hard last night, then ate an Arby's Sandwich and 4 homemade biscuits. Lots of carbs at 10 pm.

So....it happens. But, if i was hungover to boot.....i would still be in bed....not getting ready to go work out again.

Thanks.
