Tried calling

Tried calling an AA number, no answer, just a machine. Tried a hotline number, it's just an intake for a rehab. I just want to talk to someone. Any numbers like that?

Can you go to a meeting? Lots of people willing to talk and usually they will give you their own personal phone numbers (same gender) for you to call.

My first three meetings I think I was given over 75 phone numbers of AA members willing to talk.

Did you leave a message on the machine? Someone will call you back. I don't think the phones are always manned in off-business hours. It's all done by volunteers who have lives and jobs etc.

If you are in crisis, there are crisis hotlines. (Like 911, etc.)

You can talk to us. What's going on?

Just not committed to rehab, not even committed to not drinking. Maybe shouldn't be here.

Are you scheduled to go to rehab?

Reading some of your past threads, rehab might not be a bad idea. You don't want to continue doing what you're doing - so what do you have to lose?

What makes you still want to drink? And what is it that is making you wonder about stopping?

And welcome to SR!

I hope that you make a decision to stop drinking and begin to recover. We do understand how hard this is, but there is lots of support here.
