Hi. Just wanted to post that I've been sober 11 days now. Started Jan 7th. Not much, but it feels like much longer at this point.
Head is still really cloudy -- might just be all the meds I take -- but feeling really great still. (Taking some meds to prevent seizures as I was a pretty heavy drinker before quitting - no tapering.) Before I quit, I was feeling sick all the time, throwing up/wanting to, had pain in my side/around liver, burning in stomach, no energy. That's just part of it, as many of you know. Now a lot of the pain is starting to subside and it is great waking up without hangovers!!! I don't love my job but feel like I can actually get through my work days now. Feel like I can keep this up. I'm also doing this for my family, so there is no going back.
