Hanging in there!

Starting day 9 and have been eating healthy, read a book, worked on my allotment, been to work and caught up with a backlog, tidied the flat etc etc! Sleep pattern still to pot! Like to go to an AA meeting but feeling very nervous and timid about it!

Everyone feels nervous and timid about their first meeting. You'd be really strange if you didn't. Why not make contact by phone via the hotline. Often if you've spoken to someone from the local meeting first it can make getting to the first meeting SO much easier.

This is the hotline number for AA in the UK... 0800 9177 650

If you call them and tell that you'd like to go to a meeting but are really nervous about it, they can chat with you about what to expect, and can also get someone (same gender as you) from your local AA to give you a call. Having someone meet you outside the meeting so you can walk in together will make it easier, esp if the person you already spoke to on the phone.
